Description
Switchers Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with some alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared rubble with millstone grit dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and three bays, arranged in a central staircase plan. The central entrance has a moulded surround and hood, with a glazed door added around 1970.
On each storey, there are two former two-light flat-faced mullioned windows with plain projecting surrounds, although the mullions are now missing. There is also a smaller single light window in the centre of the upper storey, which has been replaced with 20th-century casements. The farmhouse displays chamfered quoins, shaped gable end kneelers, and coping, along with gable end ridge stacks.
