Description
The hay barn, located approximately 150 metres north of Hartforth Hall, is likely from the early 19th century and was built for the Cradock family of Hartforth Hall. It is constructed of rubble with Welsh slate roofs. The barn features a three-bay main range, which is flanked by lower single-bay lean-to ranges. The outer ends of the lean-tos have quoins, with doors and windows on the left and slit vents on the right. The main range has three straight-headed full-height openings, with quoins at the separating piers, and a hipped roof. This barn shares a similar design with the hay barn near Easingtown Barn and Brooms Field Barn.
