Description

This is a row of ten dark red brick houses, numbered 29 to 45, built around 1830 to 1840. They are arranged over three storeys and feature segmental bow windows on each house, topped with a flat, moulded eaves cornice and frieze that extends across the entire row. Each house has two bays, with tripartite sash windows in the bows, and single sashes above the entrance. The original glazing bars have been preserved. The entrances are distinguished by six-panel doors set within Greek Doric doorcases, which include a triglyph frieze and cornice. Numbers 29 to 73 (odd), along with the front walls of numbers 29 to 45 (odd), are considered to form a group.
