Description
The Manor House is a building likely dating from the 16th century, although it has undergone significant alterations over time. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof. The house is two storeys high and has a T-shaped plan, with a 20th-century outbuilding at the rear. The south front of the main range features a glazed door below a monolithic lintel, and to the left, a two-light mullion and transom window with renewed trefoiled heads, quoined jambs, and a hoodmould. Above this, a two-light mullion window is also present, featuring semicircular trefoiled heads, quoined jambs, and a hoodmould. The building includes kneelers, an ashlar coping, and a 20th-century chimney stack to the right. A projecting cross-wing is visible to the left, with a two-light mullion window on the ground floor, formerly featuring trefoiled heads, under a hollow-moulded hood, and a two-light casement window in a moulded stone surround on the first floor. Kneelers and ashlar coping are also present on the cross-wing. A large chimney-breast projects from the left return of the cross-wing, incorporating a mask corbel. The interior features a chamfered fireplace with a segmental arch within the chimney-breast.
