Description

Masham Bridge is a bridge built in 1754, as noted by Pevsner. It is constructed of ashlar and features four large segmental arches with voussoirs. Triangular-section cutwaters rise into canted pedestrian retreats. The walling on either side of the bridge breaks forward, and there is a band and parapet. Notably, half of the bridge is located in the parish of Burton-upon-Ure.
