Description

This is a clapper bridge over Capelshaw Beck, likely dating from the 17th or 18th century. It is constructed from gritstone blocks and has an overall length of approximately 3 metres. In the midstream, there are two pairs of flat stones laid between the bank and the gritstone blocks.
