Description
The gateway to Brandsby Hall, located approximately 100 metres southeast of the church, is a Grade II listed structure likely dating from the early 19th century. It was built for the Cholmeley family and features low sandstone ashlar walls that support wrought-iron railings flanking paired gates with gate posts. The stone wall has a segmental coping, while the railings and gates are designed with alternately plain and waving square-section bars topped with spear finials. The matching gates incorporate a Vitruvian scroll motif on the mid rails. The gate piers are of box section, adorned with scrolled panels and ogee finials.
