Description

This is an early 18th-century house, later adapted for use as two shops with living accommodation above. It has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The exterior is painted brick with a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance features a six-panel door within a wooden architrave, with brackets supporting a cornice. A 20th-century bow window is located to the left, alongside a plate-glass shop window and entrance. To the right is a four-pane shop window and a separate entrance door. The first floor features sixteen-pane sash windows, with a blind window above the central door. A prominent stack projects upwards from the ridge of the roof, directly above the door. The left return was likely rebuilt in the 20th century using coursed stone and features new window and door openings. The interior has not been inspected.
