Description

This is a mid-18th century house, now used as two shops with storage space above. The exterior is rendered, with a clay-tile roof. The house is three storeys high and has two windows on the first floor. The central entrance is flanked by 20th-century plate-glass shop fronts. Above the shop fronts, there are remnants of a wooden frieze and cornice. The first floor features two wide, three-light bows, with a central sash window with glazing bars and narrower eight-pane sashes on either side. The second floor has sixteen-pane sash windows in flush frames, with projecting stone sills and wedge lintels featuring a projecting keystone. A band runs at the second-floor level and the eaves. Shaped kneelers and ashlar coping are visible on the left side. Chimneys are located at the ends and rear of the building.
