Description
Hollins House is an early 19th-century house located in East Rounton. It is constructed of local brownish brick in Flemish bond on the front and English garden wall bond on the other sides, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The house has two storeys and features three windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight that has arcaded glazing bars, accessed by three stone steps. The sash windows, which have glazing bars, are set in near-flush wood architraves and are adorned with stuccoed lintels that feature incised false voussoirs. There are end brick chimneys. A set-back south extension rises three storeys and has one wide bay, designed in a similar style. The rear elevation displays similar windows along with a round-arched stair window that has an interlaced head. Inside, the house retains original cornices, doors, architraves, chimney-pieces, grates, and flanking cupboards.
