Description
Garth House is a house from the late 18th century, possibly with earlier origins. It is constructed of red brick and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and features three bays, with a lower two-storey, two-bay wing on the right side.
On the main house, to the left of the right-hand bay, there is a four-panel door with a fanlight, surrounded by reeded pilasters, friezes with paterae, and an open pediment. All windows are 16-pane sashes with flat brick arches, except for the window in the central bay on the first floor, which is a 12-pane side-sliding sash. The first-floor windows are notably smaller. The house has shaped stone kneelers, stone coping, end stacks, and two stacks along the ridge, including a large rendered stack to the left of centre.
In the lower wing, there are 20th-century double garage board doors and 16-pane sash windows, along with dentilled eaves.
