Description
Throstle Nest Bridge and Perseverence Level Entrance is a bridge and mine level entrance built in 1825. It is made of dressed stone and constructed without mortar. The bridge features a single large segmental arch that spans the beck. On the southern bank, there is a long abutment on the east face of the bridge, which includes a smaller round arched entrance to the mine level. Above this arch, there is an inscription that reads "Perseverence 1825." At road level, the structure has a plain band, and above it, there is a stone parapet.
