Description
Bridge House is a villa built in the early to mid-19th century. It features a brown brick exterior and a Westmorland slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. It has an ashlar plinth and a first-floor band. The central entrance consists of a leaved six-panel door with an overlight that has decorative glazing bars, all set within an ashlar architrave. This door is flanked by segmental bay windows that also have glazing bars and lead roofs. On the first floor, there are 16-pane sash windows with wedge lintels. The eaves overhang, and the roof is hipped, with stacks that rise from the hipped returns. On the right side of the building, there are two bays featuring a French window and a square bay with plate-glass sashes on the ground floor, and again 16-pane sash windows on the first floor.
