Description
Holme Green Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick with a magnesian limestone plinth and has a pantile roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, with a range extending to the rear. The central entrance features a six-panel door with an overlight set beneath a segmental arch. The outer bays on the ground and first floors have 16-pane sash windows, while the central bay has a 12-pane sash, all of which are topped with segmental arches. There are also 8-pane sashes above. A dentil eaves band runs along the roofline, and there are stacks at each end of the building. At the rear, there are irregularly spaced 12-pane sashes under elliptical arches, along with blind openings on the second floor. Inside, most windows have shutters, and there is a dogleg staircase with rod-on-vase balusters. The interior has not been fully inspected.
