Description
The Maltings is a house dating from the early 19th century, with later additions and alterations, including ranges to the rear and re-roofing. It is constructed of pinkish-brown brick and features a grey cast-tile roof. The building is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance consists of a six-fielded-panel door with a fanlight that has radial glazing, along with panelled reveals and soffit. The entrance is framed by a pilastered door-case with a frieze and a modillion hood. The ground floor includes canted bays with 12 and 8-pane sash windows, which have continuous stone sills and modillion hoods. On the first floor, there are 12-pane sash windows set under cambered arches, also with stone sills. The house has end stacks.
