Description

This is a late medieval cross shaft located approximately 3 metres south of the south-west corner of the south porch of the Church of St Mary in Hornby. The cross shaft is made of gritstone and stands about 1 metre high. It has a chamfered design with a square plan on a chamfered base. The upper part of the shaft is a smaller section that features a later sundial.
