Description

Studforth Farmhouse is a building of group value, probably dating from the 17th century, with a raised roof in the early 18th century and the addition of a bay to the south in the 20th century. It is constructed of reddish-brown local brick, with tumbled brickwork in the gable to the north. The roof is swept with pantiles and has chimneys to the original gable ends. The farmhouse is two storeys high and originally comprised two bays, now extended to three. The gable end faces the road. A modern entrance and window are present in the added bay. Another entrance features a 20th-century glazed door. Segmental arched casement windows are visible. Inside, there is a chamfered transverse beam with tongued stops. A 20th-century single-storey pent extension to the north is considered to be of no particular interest.
