Description
Castle House is a house built in the mid-19th century, with a slightly later porch. It features pinkish-brown brick with stone dressings and has stepped and dentilled eaves. The roof is covered in fish scale tiles, with raised stone verges and kneelers, and there are end chimneys. Designed in the Tudor Revival style, the house has two storeys and five bays. A projecting square brick porch with stone battlements, quoins, and a band is present, along with two-light mullion windows that have shouldered heads. The entrance is located on the left side. The stone chamfered-mullioned two-light windows, which have stone surrounds and hood moulds, feature lozenge leaded glazing. The building has group value within The Square.
