Description
Two houses, now a shop and house, dating from the early 19th century with 20th-century restoration. The houses are constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a Westmorland slate roof. They are three storeys high and two bays wide. A rendered plinth runs along the base. Number 2, on the right, has two steps leading to a six-panel door with a three-pane overlight and an incised lintel. To the right is a sixteen-pane bow window, with sixteen-pane sash windows to the first and second floors, all featuring restored incised lintels. Number 4, on the left, has two steps leading to a half-glazed four-panel door with a three-pane overlight. A 20th-century shop window is to the right. The first and second floors of number 4 have a four-pane sash window with a narrow projecting sill and an incised lintel, with a blind window to the right. Ridge stacks are located in the centre and at the right end of the building.
