Description

These gate piers, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century, are located approximately three metres south of the southwest corner of School House in Scorton. They are constructed from sandstone ashlar and are square in plan, featuring rusticated bands and shallow chamfered bases. The piers also have cornices and coved caps. They are included in the listing for their group value.
