Description

Sutton Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Low Road in Aldborough, Boroughbridge. It is constructed of pinkish-brown local brick and features stepped eaves and a plinth. The roof is a swept pantile design that extends continuously over a rear outshot, with raised brick verges. The building has an off-centre ridge chimney and stands two storeys tall, comprising three irregular bays. The entrance includes a panelled door, while the windows are squat sash types set in flush wood architraves, with gauged flat brick arches above the lower windows.
