Description
Silvio House is a small late 18th century house constructed of rubble. It stands two storeys high and features a stone slate roof with two stacks at the gable ends and kneelers. A fire plaque is present on the building. There are two windows without glazing bars, framed in plain stone with rusticated keystones. The central door is set within a shouldered stone case, topped by a pulvinated frieze and a small modillion cornice. Above the door is an attractive stone sundial adorned with Adam type ornamentation. The door itself consists of four panels and includes a three-light rectangular fanlight. Adjoining the house is a former stable, now a cottage (No 12), which is also two storeys high and features four modern six-light casement windows, with three windows on the ground floor. The door to No 10 is framed in a plain stone surround, while the door to No 12 is set within a stone surround. The building has a Welsh slate roof.
