Description
The statue of Neptune and its pedestal, located in the center of Moon Pond, date from around 1750 and were created for John Aislabie and his son, William. The pedestal is made of ashlar stone, while the statue itself is crafted from lead. The statue was removed for restoration during the time of the resurvey and is scheduled to be returned in January 1986. The pedestal was renewed in 1985.
