Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century, featuring altered openings. It is constructed of rubble with a stone slate roof and has three chimneys. The building is two storeys high, but from the road, it appears as a continuous outshut, with a two-storey section on the left and a single-storey section on the right. The windows are unmoulded, with two 2-light windows on the left side of a plain doorway, and a large sash window with all glazing bars on the right. Next to one of the 2-light windows is a blocked circular light from an earlier period. Additionally, there is a lean-to against the left gable that has a double chamfered surround, possibly for an early 18th-century 2-light window. There are also other altered or modern openings present.
