Description
This building is a barn and byre range dating from the mid-18th century, located approximately 100 metres west of Dougill Hall. It is constructed from coursed squared gritstone and features a corrugated asbestos roof. The structure has quoins and consists of four bays, built on sloping ground.
On the south front, there is a cart entrance in bay 2, which has a segmental arch and quoined jambs. There are byre doors flanking this entrance; the door on the left has quoined jambs and is tied into the left-hand corner of the building, while the door on the right has tie-stone jambs. A square window is positioned at the far right.
At the rear, there is a narrow quoined segmental-arched doorway that is opposite the cart entrance. Inside, the barn features three tie-beam trusses with queen struts.
