Description
This is a brick kiln located approximately 10 metres south of the Manor House, dating from the early 19th century and restored in 1975. It is likely designed by Sir George Cayley. The kiln is constructed of sandstone rubble lined with red brick, featuring brick segment-arched openings at both ends, with the opening to the west being taller than the one to the east. Inside, it has a tunnel-vaulted structure. This kiln represents an experimental type designed for firing mixed goods.
