Description
2-6 Millgate consists of three cottages, one of which is now a commercial premises, dating from the early 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared stone with ashlar dressings and features a graduated stone slate roof. It is two storeys high and has three bays. The corners of the building are marked by quoins.
To the left of the first two bays, there are half-glazed doors, while to the right of the third bay, there is a four-panel door, all of which have stone lintels. The windows, which also feature stone lintels and sills, include sixteen-pane side-sliding sashes in the second and third bays, while the first bay has 20th-century casements. The building has end stacks and two stacks along the ridge.
