Description
Nos 39 and 41 Bond End are two houses built in the late 18th century. They are constructed from coursed squared limestone and topped with Westmorland slate roofs. The buildings are two storeys high and each has two bays. There are 20th-century panelled doors with overlights on both the left and right sides. A large classical porch has been added since 1968.
For No 39, there is a 20-pane sash window in a flush frame on the ground floor and a 16-pane sash window above. No 41 features a 30-pane sash window in a flush frame on the ground floor, with a 20-pane sash window above it. Both houses have projecting stone sills and flat arches, along with a central brick stack. They are included in the listing for their group value.
