Description

Ashwell Lodge is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone, with a rough-cast finish to the front, and features a Westmorland slate roof. The building has two storeys and three first-floor windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door topped by a fanlight, with flanking pilasters that support an open triangular pediment. The sash windows have glazing bars and are set in flush wood architraves, with projecting stone sills. Wooden gutter brackets are also present, and the roof is hipped with lateral stacks.
