Description
17 Bridge Street is an early 19th-century building of painted brick with a pantile roof, hipped on the right side. It is three storeys high and has six windows, arranged irregularly to accommodate the curved street layout. The windows have flush frames and no glazing bars. A band runs along the eaves and between the first and second storeys. The ground floor now has a modern shop front, but one window retains glazing bars, and there is a six-field door. The building is included for group value, along with Nos 1 to 3 Grape Lane, which feature remnants of a 19th-century shop front and a late 19th-century glazed advertisement panel. It is grouped with Nos 11 to 17 Bridge Street.
