Description

No 157, which includes the former No 158, is an 18th-century building located on the west side of Church Street. It is two storeys tall and constructed of painted brick, topped with a pantile roof that features remnants of stone kneelers. The building has two windows facing Church Street, with rendered flat arches made of brick and double hung sashes that do not have glazing bars. The ground floor has been completely modernized with a shop front. This property is part of a group that includes Nos 119 to 123A, the Board Inn, Nos 126 to 135, and Nos 137 to 151, as well as Nos 1453 to 157.
