Description

Aldburgh Hall is a house dating from the 18th century, with a refronting from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of rubblestone that is rendered, with an ashlar front and has graduated stone slate roofs. The building is two storeys high and features five bays, with two bay wings that project at the front. It has a plinth and a central six-panel door with an overlight, framed by a stone surround that includes Doric pilasters, a frieze, a cornice, and a blocking course. The windows are sash types with moulded stone architraves, and the two outer bays have tripartite sashes on the ground floor. The roof is hipped over the outer two bays, and there are ridge stacks. Inside, there is an early 18th-century staircase that features bulb and umbrella balusters.
