Description

Burngarth is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is built with a rendered facade and has a pantile roof. The main two-storey range has two first-floor windows, with a recessed block to the right containing one first-floor window. A rustic porch shelters a panelled front door located to the left of centre. A glazed door in a glazed porch serves the recessed block. The main range has three ground-floor windows, one to the left and two to the right of the entrance. First-floor windows are positioned on either side of the entrance, and there is a first-floor window above the glazed porch, all being side-sliding sash windows with glazing bars set within stone architraves. Ashlar coping is visible on the left gable and on the lower half of the right side, which projects forward of the recessed block. End chimneys are present on the main block. A brick projection at right angles to the right side is not of particular architectural interest.
