Description

The southern and eastern boundary wall at Skipton Castle is likely of various dates from the medieval period onwards. It is constructed of random stone and stands about 10 feet high, topped with flat capping. The wall extends approximately 250 meters from the gatehouse alongside The Bailey, before turning north-westward to the cliff edge above the river.
