Description

This is a 17th-century farmbuilding, located approximately 10 metres east of Brackenridge Farmhouse. Constructed of coursed squared stone with ashlar detailing, it has a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and comprises five bays. Quoins are present. A central board door is set within a chamfered surround, featuring a basket-arched head with a hoodmould. To the right of this door is a five-light double-chamfered mullioned window with its own hoodmould. A 19th-century board door is located further right, and the right-hand bay originally contained a casement window within a chamfered surround, though a mullion has been lost. Stone steps lead to a board door on the first floor to the left of the central door, and a further chamfered mullion two-light window is positioned to its right. The first floor includes a double-chamfered three-light mullioned window, a smaller casement window, a single-light chamfered-arched window above the central door, a four-light double-chamfered mullioned window, and a similar window of three lights, one of which is missing a mullion. Shaped kneelers and stone coping are present at the roofline.
