Description
Camp House is an early 19th-century farmhouse located in West Tanfield, off Moor Lane. The house is constructed of coursed squared stone with stone dressings and has a graduated stone slate roof. It is two storeys high, with three bays, and features a lower, later 19th-century wing set back to its left return. Quoins are present. The entrance is via an off-centre six-panel door, topped with an overlight and sheltered by a flat stone arch. All windows are 16-pane sashes with stone sills and flat stone arches. The roofline exhibits shaped kneelers and stone coping, with end stacks.
