Description
The labourers' quarters and byre, located to the southeast of Newbiggin Hall, date from the late 18th century and form the east range of the farm buildings. The structure is built from coursed, squared rubble with quoins and features a graduated slate roof that includes a corniced stone chimney at the hipped west end. The north elevation is two stories high and consists of six bays, with a central byre door flanked by windows and six small windows above. The south elevation has a small wagon door to the right and four windows above. Access to the first floor is provided by a door at the east end. Additionally, 20th-century garage doors have been inserted into the west end.
