Description
No. 1 St Andrew's Place is a building dating from around 1750. It features painted stucco over stone and has a slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The exterior includes a moulded stone cornice and projecting quoins. The entrance consists of 6-panelled double doors topped by a round-arched fanlight with radial glazing bars, flanked by three-quarter Doric columns that support a block entablature and a pedimented cornice. There are wrought iron railings leading to the steps and area. The basement has small modern windows, while the ground floor has four 12-paned sash windows and there are five similar windows above, all set within stone architraves. A round-arched stair window is located on the left-hand return side, and the right-hand return side features a doorway with pilasters and a cornice.
