Description

This is a pair of late 18th-century houses, now used as shops, located on Main Street. The houses are constructed of ashlar stone with a slate roof and have gable chimneys. Chamfered rusticated quoins are present on the left-hand side only. A sill band runs across the first floor. The front has four windows on the first floor, with the two central windows grouped together, and three windows on the second floor. All windows have sills, plain reveals, and sashed windows with all original glazing bars. The two shopfronts are from the 19th century and feature Doric pilasters and a cornice; the right-hand side retains its original sashes. One doorway has a modern door, while the other has been blocked. Above the blocked doorway is a rectangular fanlight with glazing bars.

Inside, there is a four-flight closed string dogleg staircase with square newels. The ground floor has two plank doors, and the second floor has three.
