Description
This building is a house with an adjoining barn and byre, dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. The house is pebble-dashed and features a stone flagged roof with stone chimneys at each end. It has two storeys and three bays, with a plank door located in a gabled wooden porch on the right side. The central window has interlaced glazing bars with a semicircular head, while the left-hand window is a 20th-century casement. Above, there are three sash windows with glazing bars, all set within stone surrounds.
The barn, which is attached to the north of the house, shares the same roof and is constructed from coursed, squared rubble with quoins. Its front includes a window with interlaced glazing bars and a semicircular head, along with a segmental-headed wagon door in the end wall. Above this door, there is a single unglazed opening with dovecote openings in the gable. The adjoining lower byre range is set back and built in a similar style. The house to the south end of Rose Cottages is not included in this listing.
