Description

This is a late 18th-century building located on the west side of Boroughgate in Appleby-in-Westmorland. It is constructed of stone, originally stuccoed, with a cornice at the eaves and long-and-short quoins. The roof is slate-covered with stone copings and a stone chimney. The building has two storeys. The right-hand side features a six-panel door with a rectangular fanlight containing glazing bars. A narrow door to the left provides access to the rear yard. There are two 12-paned sash windows on the ground floor and three above.
