Description

38 and 40 Boroughgate is a house dating from the late 18th century, which later became the Butchers Arms public house in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of stone ashlar and features a slate roof with end stacks. It has a central passage with a door located on the left side. There are three windows on the ground floor and five on the upper floor, all framed with plain stone architraves. A tethering ring is also present.
