Description

This is a house, likely dating from the early 18th century, with a later 19th-century rear wing. It is built of roughcast stone with a slate roof, and has rock-faced quoins to the rear wing. The south elevation is two storeys high with three bays. The windows are sash windows with vertical glazing bars; the ground floor windows have dripstones. A gabled porch is situated in the central bay, and there are gable-end stacks. A blocked fire window is possibly visible at the right-hand end. The rear wing has casement windows and a gable-end stack. The east elevation has a window where the original entrance was located, and now provides access to the rear wing. Inside, there are stop-chamfered beams and joists. The fireplace beam has a cambered left-hand end, and a mortise for a heckpost is located to the left. A spice cupboard with a two-panel door and a large cupboard with fielded-panel doors are positioned on either side of the fireplace.
