Description

The gazebo, dating from the 18th century, is located to the east of Wheelhouse Bridge in Cartmel. It is constructed of stone rubble and features a pyramidal slate roof topped with a ball finial. This single-storey structure, which also has a basement, is situated on the river bank. It has casement windows on the south and east sides, while the west side has a blocked window. The entrance, accessed by steps on the east side, includes a six-fielded-panel door. The gazebo was originally part of the garden of Priory House.
