Description

Nos 6 to 12 Corn Market is a group of buildings dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. They are constructed of painted stucco over stone and stand two storeys tall. The buildings feature quoins and have shop fronts added to the ground floor. Above, there are sash windows set within plain stone architraves. Nos 9 and 10 have a moulded eaves cornice, while No 12 has double sash windows. Notably, No 11 has a low old doorway, which has been converted into a window, with a lintel inscribed with the year 1624.
