Description

The Board and Elbow Public House, formerly known as The Elbow Room Public House, is a mid-19th century building located in Corn Market, Penrith. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed from red sandstone ashlar in a Gothic style. The ground floor has been modernized with timber, while the upper levels feature a two-storeyed oriel window with pointed arched lights and stone mullions. Each floor is flanked by Gothic windows, with the upper ones also having pointed arches. On the right-hand side, facing Great Dockray, there is a modern ground floor and two sash windows on each upper floor, featuring 8, 12, and 16 panes.
