Description
Johnby Bank is a farmhouse and barn that dates from the late 18th century. It is constructed from mixed sandstone rubble with flush quoins and features a graduated greenslate roof topped with banded sandstone chimney stacks. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays, with a lower two-bay barn attached to the left side. There is a 20th-century door located between the house and the barn, set within a painted stone surround. The house has sash windows with glazing bars, which are framed in painted stone surrounds; the windows on the left side are double. The barn includes a projecting cart entrance, a casement window, and flanking doorways, along with slit vents.
