Description

This railway overbridge was built around 1846 by Joseph Locke for the Lancaster to Carlisle Railway. It is constructed from rock-faced limestone and features a round arch with voussoirs that extend to a band above, as well as an impost band. The structure has a coped parapet, although central stones were removed in the 20th century to raise the height of the parapet.
