Description
Rectory Farm consists of a large, irregularly planned house and adjoining buildings, dating from the mid to late 19th century and featuring more than one construction phase. The house is built from coursed sandstone on a plinth, with a rendered finish and incised stucco, and includes corner pilasters. The roofs are primarily covered with Welsh slate and have central chimneys, with some stone copings. The building has two storeys and cellars. Certain gables are adorned with open pediment decoration. The doors and windows have stone surrounds and are all sash windows without glazing bars. The south end of the house features a canted bay window on the ground floor at the rear, and tall, paired stair windows with semicircular heads at the front. At the north end, there is a single-storey range of outbuildings that is covered by a graduated slate roof.
