Description

This is an early 18th-century farmhouse with a connected outbuilding, now used as a house. The farmhouse is constructed with cement render over red sandstone rubble, with a sandstone slate roof partially renewed with Welsh slate. It features brick chimney stacks. The outbuilding is of similar construction and has whitewashed walls. The main farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays. A lower outbuilding is attached to the right. An entrance is formed through the outbuilding via a plank door set in a painted stone surround. There’s a double-sash window with glazing bars to the right of the entrance, and a sash window with glazing bars to the left. Central upper-floor windows, along with the window to the right, show signs of a removed central stone mullion. A sash window with glazing bars is located to the left. The outbuilding contains a stone sink built into the wall to the right of the entrance, and includes slit vents. An outshut to the right, originally a washhouse and accessed by a plank door, is attached. An end wall has external stone steps leading to a loft door. Outbuildings to the left are of no particular interest. The property was derelict when surveyed.
